Not an early morning for us today. Before we had a chance to call, a notice to mariners was posted. The first five locks of the Champlain Canal opened today! As we were prepping to raise anchor, we saw a 45′ sailboat (pictured here) pass us heading south. We’re both here now at the Whitehall Marina … hopeful this end of the canal will open tomorrow or Friday.
