Sustainable Cruising

Freshwater and Waterford

We left Saugerties yesterday morning (55 degrees), and were 3nm into our travels before seeing the sun rise. The river current wasn’t timed well for us, but we caught a little help in the earliest part of the day. It was our final day on tidal waters, and we arrived at the Troy Federal Lock around 2:45PM (86 degrees). Thirty minutes later we were tying up at the free dock in Waterford, NY. One more section of the journey back to Lake Champlain is complete.
