Is where we are anchored. Several freight trains passed overnight, and more today. The Adirondack commuter (NYC-MTL) will be passing by as well.

This is a new spot for us, but has good south protection and is only ~16nm from the first lock. We’re on the NY side, just across from Chipmans Point Marina. 74 degrees here with 68 degree water temperature …sun…

We left Whitehall and are traveling back up Lake Champlain. We spoke with Lock 12 this morning and buoys are still not set, so more time yet before the canal opens. Almost no wind and temps expected to nearly hit…

Another great day of boat projects and relaxing. Planning to head north again tomorrow. Water tanks are full and galley is stocked!

We’ve always enjoyed visiting Whitehall ‘at the bottom of the lake’. The new marina ownership now makes it a great destination. High winds switching overnight south to north and limited protected anchorages in this part of the lake will keep…

After a week out we’ve come ashore. Had a great meal at the marina tavern and a nice walk.

Not opening for us yet, but nice to see it. Not much current …a good sign.
