Anchored at Gourlie Point for the night

This is a new spot for us, but has good south protection and is only ~16nm from the first lock. We’re on the NY side, just across from Chipmans Point Marina. 74 degrees here with 68 degree water temperature …sun …light wind.

Charlie, on White Seal, is our Kingsland Bay mooring neighbor. He’s waiting at the other end of the canal system in Waterford with many other boaters who are ALSO waiting for the locks to open. Those locks are going to be busy once they open up! Sounds like you two are having a relaxing tour around Lake Champlain. Loved your wildlife photos!

We met someone in Whitehall who needs to get their trawler north from Waterford …and there’s another sailboat waiting to go south in Whitehall, and it looks like a good number of dropped masts in Chipmans Point Marina waiting as well. Hopefully it won’t be too busy!
