Sustainable Cruising

Shelburne Bay

We had hoped to meet up with friends in Malletts Bay this evening, but the BTV recreational forecast was updated with a lake thunderstorm advisory this morning. We took a shorter journey today, and came to Sledrunner Bay. Great west protection here in the event of a storm, and we’re in sight of Burlington and our home dock. We had a great downwind sail this morning from Converse Bay to Willsboro Point. Then a fast reach across the lake, just south of the Four Brothers Islands. A final tack brought us into Sledrunner, where we’ve been swimming and enjoying watching other boats come and go. There are about 15 other sailboats anchored here with us. We still have not seen any storms since the one that passed just south of us this morning. Hoping for a quiet night.
