Sustainable Cruising

Friday: Kingsland Bay

I think this was the first time on our trip that we missed posting for two days. Poor cell service is to blame, but we’re getting caught up. Yesterday we spent the full day and night in Kingsland Bay. We raised the mast, put on the furler and headsail, and stowed all of the related gear. It was a great day, and we were able to swim and relax for most of it. The water was 75 degrees … much more refreshing than Chesapeake Bay temperatures. In the evening some fellow boating friends also moored in Kingsland Bay, and we joined them for great dinner and conversation.
