We try not to use a lot of foil, but sometimes it reduces cleanup and conserves water. It’s often easy to rinse …but reusing for food usually seems questionable. We have found that you can get some extra use out of used foil in other ways.
When cooking/frying we take a piece of foil to use as as a vertical splatter-guard to protect the limited galley space from getting greasy/dirty. This can be used multiple times before needing to be retired.
I suppose in a pinch one could fashion a high-amperage fuse from used foil, but please don’t this as a recommendadion to do so! 🙂
