We left Fort Edward just after 7AM, and traveled 21nm through four more locks. We arrived in Whitehall, NY just after noon. Threats of dangerous storms stopped us here, on the doorstep of Lake Champlain, just south of lock one on the terminal wall. Typically we have not seen many boats here, but when we arrived there were already two others. We were happy to see there was another sailboat, and amazed to see that it was a boat we knew! We had caught up with the French family we had met in Elizabeth City, NC. Whitehall was where our journey out of Lake Champlain began, and Elizabeth City was the furthest stop we made on our trip. Now a chance to swap stories of our adventures. The storm has not yet arrived, but it looks close. The radar shows it losing strength, so hopefully it won’t cause any problems for us. We’re planning to enter Lake Champlain tomorrow, raise the mast, and start the final leg of our trip north.

Welcome home (almost). We enjoyed reading about your adventures, hope it was all you imagined.
Look forward to hearing more detail in person.
