We had a nice relaxing sail north today, bringing us back near the C&D Canal. This was our first use of our new whisker pole … looking good. We decided our last stop in the Chesapeake Bay should be the marina where we found Daphne. They have a pool and a nice air conditioned lounge for boaters …so we enjoyed both. We also walked the boatyard, remembering where we first met Daphne. There is actually another Westerly here presently, a twin keeled 32.5′ Pentland. The same era and designer as the Centaur, and much of the same hardware is used in construction. A storm blew through in late afternoon, again cooling things down a bit. A nice breeze now is welcoming back some blue skies on the horizon.
